ROOMS
All rooms come equipped with individual remote-controlled air-conditioning, a private verandah with outdoor furniture, filtered and UV purified water on tap, King beds in all rooms, fan & insect screen, bath / shower, hairdryer, IDD phone with voicemail, automatic wake-up call services and dataport for e-mail & internet access for those with their own laptop. Stocked mini-bar & fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, daily housemaid service, room service. Microwaves are also available for the convenience of families (hire costs NZ$10 per day).
The Rarotongan's rooms come in six categories:
Grand Beachfront Suite
The spectacular Grand Beachfront Suites offer contemporary Polynesian design and spacious living in a tropical beachfront setting. Superbly located directly on the whitesands of Aroa Beach,
This spacious room interior consists of a bedroom with King bed, bathroom with spa bath / shower, kitchen (with breakfast bar, microwave, stovetop and refrigerator), dining area and lounge with light-coloured terracotta tiles throughout. The fabulous wraparound verandah offers wonderful indoor outdoor flow and leads directly onto the beach. Comfortable sunloungers and outdoor furniture make it ideal for dining al fresco or enjoying a long cool drink. Additional to all the standard modern amenities above, the Grand Beachfront Suites also come equipped with television and video, stereo and tropical styled sofa and armchairs. A wonderful outdoor shower adds to the essence of the tropics and allows you to get back to nature in complete privacy.
Two Bedroom Garden Suite
The brand new Two-Bedroom Garden Suites are self-contained and offer greater flexibility for families and friends travelling together. Tiled throughout with attractive terracotta floor tiles, they consist of a master bedroom with king bed which opens out onto the verandah, a second bedroom with 2 king singles, a tiled bathroom with spa bath/shower, separate toilet, an outfitted kitchen incl. microwave, stove top, refrigerator and tea/coffee making, and sitting and dining room which opens out onto a spacious Island-style table and chairs, which can be used for dining inside or al fresco. These Suites have two separate, individually controlled air-conditioning units in the sitting room and hallway, plus IDD telephone with data port voicemail & auto wakeup call facilities, hairdryer, insect screens and fans. The spa bath is the perfect indulgence for soaking off a hard day on the beach!
Beachfront Junior Suite
Located only steps from the whitesands of Aroa Beach the Beachfront Junior Suites enjoy all the same fabulous amenities as the Garden Junior Suites with the added bonus of the close proximity to the sparkling azure waters of Aroa Lagoon.
Garden Junior Suite
The Garden Junior Suites offer light, spacious, modern accommodation with a wonderful tropical ambience. Each Junior Suite provides individually-controlled air-conditioning, contemporary new terracotta tiled floor, new separate tiled bathroom with bath, shower, vanity, hairdryer and toilet, king beds, sofa, island-style table (which doubles as a writing desk), in-room television and video, and a spacious verandah complete with outdoor furniture. For those who want to get back to nature the Garden Junior Suites feature a completely private outdoor shower area - a very popular additional feature ideal for the tropics. Other facilities include filtered and UV - purified water on tap, IDD telephone with data port Internet access, voicemail and automatic wake-up call facilities, stocked mini-bar, tea/coffee making facilities, insect screen and fan.
Beachfront
All rooms come equipped with new individually-controlled air-conditioning, filtered and UV - purified water on tap, a furnished private veranda, IDD phone with data port (enabling in-room email & internet access), voicemail & automatic wake-up call facilities, stocked mini-bar, refrigerator, tea/coffee making facilities, bath/shower, hairdryer, insect screen & fan. The main distinction between rooms is in their location, as all rooms are fairly similar in layout and size. The Deluxe categories offer larger room space than the standard grades, and the Beachfront Suites offer a separate sitting room and wide sweeping verandas onto the beach.
