5 km from Verona, between sweet, rolling hills and the vineyards of Valpolicella lies Villa del Quar, an elegant patricians residence and national monument. It was build throughout different ages, from Roman age to Renaissance. Villa del Quar was built alongside the ancient Romana Claudia Augusta road in the roman era. It was originally built as a "castrum" and used as a staging inn. It took most of its actual form in the 15th and 16th century.
